Our History

Traditional quality with a contemporary touch.

Set against the sweeping backdrop of the Appalachian Mountains lies Appalachian Millworks & Cabinetry; an illustrious tradition dating back to the early 20th century. Starting out as a humble hardware store, it soon grew to meet the needs of customers. This led to the opening of the millworks in 2013; merging old-world craftsmanship with modern technology to celebrate the Appalachian heritage in every meticulously crafted detail.

The legacy continued in 2015 when Twin Enterprises’ owner Travis Hackworth purchased the W.B.F. White & Sons Building and established the Appalachian Millworks and Cabinetry. What’s even more remarkable is that some of the employees have worked with the original Clinch Valley Millworks, which was previously owned by the great-grandson of W. B. F. White. It truly embodies our long-standing History and Tradition that stands proudly at the heart of our business.
